Possum Control in Brisbane, QLD

What is included

What Is Included in Our Possum Control

  • The noises at night talked through first, because possums, rats and birds sound different in a ceiling.
  • The roof space checked where it is safe, looking for droppings, nesting material and stained insulation.
  • The roofline walked from outside to find the gap, often a loose tile, a broken vent or an eave.
  • Overhanging branches and power lines noted, since those are usually the way onto the roof.
  • A plan to get the possum out, worked around the time it leaves the roof at night.
  • Entry points closed with mesh or other proofing once the possum is out, so getting back in is harder.
  • Deterrent advice for the garden and roofline, and where a nest box could give it somewhere else.

Why us

Why Choose Us for Possum Control?

Accountable for every job, long after the day

Every possum control job is done by the people who will still be here next year.

Tested and signed off before we leave

Everything we touch on your possum control is tested before we go, you get walked through exactly what was done.

Local pest controllers, not a call centre

A pest controller answers the phone and the same faces come back if the job runs over a day.

How the job runs

Getting a possum out of the roof

01

The call

Tell us when you hear it, where in the ceiling, and whether there is a tree or power line close to the roof. Possums are protected wildlife in Queensland, so the aim is to get it out of the roof and make it harder for it to get back in.

02

The written quote

After the roof check you get the plan in writing: where the possum is getting in, how we will get it out, and what proofing is needed and where. If more than one entry point turns up, each one is listed, so you know exactly what is being closed and why.

03

The work and handover

We close the way in once the possum has left for the night and check the roof space for anything left behind. Before we leave you are shown where the entry was, what was closed, and what to watch for over the next week, such as new noises or fresh droppings. Another possum often moves into a roof space once it is empty, which is why the proofing matters.

Common questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Which areas do you cover?

Brisbane, the Gold Coast and surrounding South East Queensland, from our base at Hope Island. Twelve suburbs have their own pages on the service areas page, but they are a starting point rather than a boundary. If you are unsure whether we reach your suburb, call us and we will check.

Do you answer the phone after hours?

Yes. The phone is answered at any hour, every day, on the same number shown at the top of this page. Call with your location and what you are seeing, and we will talk you through what to do next.

Do you work on businesses as well as homes?

Yes. We work in family homes, rentals and apartments, and in shops, offices, food businesses and commercial properties. Commercial visits are set around trading hours, and the treatment details are recorded after each visit.

Can you quote over the phone?

We can often give guidance from a clear description and a few photos. Termite work and more complex problems usually need someone on site before an accurate treatment price is possible, because what is in the roof, the walls or the subfloor decides the scope.

Why do pest control quotes vary so much?

The pest, how established it is, the size of the property, access, the treatment method and any follow-up visits all change the scope and the price. When you compare quotes, compare the areas treated, the method, the preparation and the follow-up that is included. A lower total can simply mean a narrower job.

What details should I give you when I call?

Tell us where and when you saw the pest or the sign of it, and take a clear photo if it is safe to do so. Mention any spray or bait already used, and tell us about children, pets and anyone with allergies in the house. All of that helps us prepare before we arrive.

Should I disturb termites if I find them?

No. Leave the mud leads and damaged timber exactly as they are, do not spray the area, and call us to arrange an inspection. Termites that are disturbed often move away and go quiet, which makes the activity harder to assess and treat.

Can I spray a wasp nest before you arrive?

Please do not approach or disturb an active nest. Keep people and pets away from it and call us for advice that suits where the nest is and how big it has grown.

What should I do after a bite or a bad sting?

Get medical help first, and call for urgent help straight away if someone has trouble breathing or a severe reaction. Dealing with the pest comes after everyone is safe.

What do I need to know about children and pets?

The preparation and re-entry instructions matter, so we go through them with you before we start. Tell us about every animal in the house, including fish and birds, and we will explain what to move, cover or keep away before we start.

What should I keep after a treatment?

Keep the invoice, the treatment details, any safety directions and our recommendations, along with any termite paperwork the job produced. If anything on them is unclear, ask and we will explain it.

Will one treatment keep pests away for good?

No treatment removes every future risk. Long-term protection comes from the right treatment, regular checks and practical changes around the property, such as fixing leaks, clearing garden beds from the walls and sealing the gaps pests use.

Does a clean home still need pest control?

Often, yes. Cleaning removes food, but pests still come in looking for water and shelter. Entry points, moisture and termite risk have nothing to do with how clean the kitchen is.

How often should I have a termite inspection?

It depends on the property and its risk factors, such as its age, construction, garden and history. After an inspection we can recommend a schedule that suits that house rather than a one-size answer.

Will supermarket spray get rid of a nest?

It may kill the insects you can see without reaching the nest or colony they came from. The right response depends on the species and where it is living, which is why identification comes first.
