What is included
What Is Included in Our Termite Inspection
- A walk around the outside of the house first, looking at the slab edge, stumps and weep holes.
- Inside, every accessible room checked along skirting boards, door frames and window reveals for damage or mud.
- The roof void entered where it is safe, with the frames, battens and ceiling joists checked.
- The subfloor checked on a raised or high-set house, including stumps, bearers, joists and ant caps.
- Garden beds, timber retaining walls, tree stumps and old fence posts near the house looked over for activity.
- Moisture problems noted, such as leaking taps, blocked gutters and air conditioner drains near the walls.
- A written report of what was found, where it was found, and what we recommend you do next.
Why us
Why Choose Us for Termite Inspection?
Accountable for every job, long after the day
Every termite inspection job is done by the people who will still be here next year.
Tested and signed off before we leave
Everything we touch on your termite inspection is tested before we go, you get walked through exactly what was done.
Local pest controllers, not a call centre
A pest controller answers the phone and the same faces come back if the job runs over a day.
How the job runs
What happens before, during and after an inspection
The call
Tell us why you want the inspection: you are buying, it has been a while since the last one, or you have seen something. If you have seen mud tracks or soft timber, leave them exactly as they are. Breaking them open or spraying them can make the termites move, which makes them harder to trace.
The written quote
Before we book a time, you are told what the inspection covers, which parts of the house we expect to reach, and what the report will include. If the roof void is tight or there is no subfloor access, we say so up front so you know which areas cannot be seen.
Inspection day and the report
We start outside and work in, then go up into the roof and under the floor where we can. You get a walk through of anything we found before we leave, and the written report follows, setting out the risks around the house and our recommended next steps.
Common questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Which areas do you cover?
Brisbane, the Gold Coast and surrounding South East Queensland, from our base at Hope Island. Twelve suburbs have their own pages on the service areas page, but they are a starting point rather than a boundary. If you are unsure whether we reach your suburb, call us and we will check.
Do you answer the phone after hours?
Yes. The phone is answered at any hour, every day, on the same number shown at the top of this page. Call with your location and what you are seeing, and we will talk you through what to do next.
Do you work on businesses as well as homes?
Yes. We work in family homes, rentals and apartments, and in shops, offices, food businesses and commercial properties. Commercial visits are set around trading hours, and the treatment details are recorded after each visit.
Can you quote over the phone?
We can often give guidance from a clear description and a few photos. Termite work and more complex problems usually need someone on site before an accurate treatment price is possible, because what is in the roof, the walls or the subfloor decides the scope.
Why do pest control quotes vary so much?
The pest, how established it is, the size of the property, access, the treatment method and any follow-up visits all change the scope and the price. When you compare quotes, compare the areas treated, the method, the preparation and the follow-up that is included. A lower total can simply mean a narrower job.
What details should I give you when I call?
Tell us where and when you saw the pest or the sign of it, and take a clear photo if it is safe to do so. Mention any spray or bait already used, and tell us about children, pets and anyone with allergies in the house. All of that helps us prepare before we arrive.
Should I disturb termites if I find them?
No. Leave the mud leads and damaged timber exactly as they are, do not spray the area, and call us to arrange an inspection. Termites that are disturbed often move away and go quiet, which makes the activity harder to assess and treat.
Can I spray a wasp nest before you arrive?
Please do not approach or disturb an active nest. Keep people and pets away from it and call us for advice that suits where the nest is and how big it has grown.
What should I do after a bite or a bad sting?
Get medical help first, and call for urgent help straight away if someone has trouble breathing or a severe reaction. Dealing with the pest comes after everyone is safe.
What do I need to know about children and pets?
The preparation and re-entry instructions matter, so we go through them with you before we start. Tell us about every animal in the house, including fish and birds, and we will explain what to move, cover or keep away before we start.
What should I keep after a treatment?
Keep the invoice, the treatment details, any safety directions and our recommendations, along with any termite paperwork the job produced. If anything on them is unclear, ask and we will explain it.
Will one treatment keep pests away for good?
No treatment removes every future risk. Long-term protection comes from the right treatment, regular checks and practical changes around the property, such as fixing leaks, clearing garden beds from the walls and sealing the gaps pests use.
Does a clean home still need pest control?
Often, yes. Cleaning removes food, but pests still come in looking for water and shelter. Entry points, moisture and termite risk have nothing to do with how clean the kitchen is.
How often should I have a termite inspection?
It depends on the property and its risk factors, such as its age, construction, garden and history. After an inspection we can recommend a schedule that suits that house rather than a one-size answer.
Will supermarket spray get rid of a nest?
It may kill the insects you can see without reaching the nest or colony they came from. The right response depends on the species and where it is living, which is why identification comes first.
