Termite Barrier in Brisbane, QLD

What is included

What Is Included in Our Termite Barrier

  • A look around the whole perimeter first, including paths, garden beds, steps and anything built against the wall.
  • The construction checked, slab on ground, stumps or a mix, because that changes where the barrier sits.
  • Garden beds pulled back from the slab edge where needed so the treated zone stays unbroken.
  • A trench dug along exposed soil beside the house, with the soil treated as it goes back in.
  • Concrete paths against the house treated beneath, usually by drilling along the edge and sealing the holes afterwards.
  • Notes on the areas that could not be treated, such as under a deck built hard against the wall.
  • A maintenance plan explained, with ongoing inspections set out, so the barrier keeps doing its job.

Why us

Why Choose Us for Termite Barrier?

Accountable for every job, long after the day

Every termite barrier job is done by the people who will still be here next year.

Tested and signed off before we leave

Everything we touch on your termite barrier is tested before we go, you get walked through exactly what was done.

Local pest controllers, not a call centre

A pest controller answers the phone and the same faces come back if the job runs over a day.

How the job runs

How a barrier goes in around the house

01

The call

Tell us whether the house is new or existing, built on a slab or on stumps, and whether it already has a barrier or a record of one. Paperwork from the builder or an old treatment notice, if you have it, tells us what was done before and how long ago.

02

The written quote

You get the scope in writing: how many metres of trench, how much concrete needs drilling, what product goes in, and which areas cannot be treated and why. Anything you need to move first, such as pot plants, mulch or stored timber along the walls, is listed so the job can run straight through.

03

Treatment day and handover

We work around the house in order, trenching and treating the soil, then drilling and sealing along the paths. Before we leave you get the treatment details in writing, a list of what to avoid near the barrier, such as new garden beds against the wall, and a plan for the inspections that follow.

Common questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Which areas do you cover?

Brisbane, the Gold Coast and surrounding South East Queensland, from our base at Hope Island. Twelve suburbs have their own pages on the service areas page, but they are a starting point rather than a boundary. If you are unsure whether we reach your suburb, call us and we will check.

Do you answer the phone after hours?

Yes. The phone is answered at any hour, every day, on the same number shown at the top of this page. Call with your location and what you are seeing, and we will talk you through what to do next.

Do you work on businesses as well as homes?

Yes. We work in family homes, rentals and apartments, and in shops, offices, food businesses and commercial properties. Commercial visits are set around trading hours, and the treatment details are recorded after each visit.

Can you quote over the phone?

We can often give guidance from a clear description and a few photos. Termite work and more complex problems usually need someone on site before an accurate treatment price is possible, because what is in the roof, the walls or the subfloor decides the scope.

Why do pest control quotes vary so much?

The pest, how established it is, the size of the property, access, the treatment method and any follow-up visits all change the scope and the price. When you compare quotes, compare the areas treated, the method, the preparation and the follow-up that is included. A lower total can simply mean a narrower job.

What details should I give you when I call?

Tell us where and when you saw the pest or the sign of it, and take a clear photo if it is safe to do so. Mention any spray or bait already used, and tell us about children, pets and anyone with allergies in the house. All of that helps us prepare before we arrive.

Should I disturb termites if I find them?

No. Leave the mud leads and damaged timber exactly as they are, do not spray the area, and call us to arrange an inspection. Termites that are disturbed often move away and go quiet, which makes the activity harder to assess and treat.

Can I spray a wasp nest before you arrive?

Please do not approach or disturb an active nest. Keep people and pets away from it and call us for advice that suits where the nest is and how big it has grown.

What should I do after a bite or a bad sting?

Get medical help first, and call for urgent help straight away if someone has trouble breathing or a severe reaction. Dealing with the pest comes after everyone is safe.

What do I need to know about children and pets?

The preparation and re-entry instructions matter, so we go through them with you before we start. Tell us about every animal in the house, including fish and birds, and we will explain what to move, cover or keep away before we start.

What should I keep after a treatment?

Keep the invoice, the treatment details, any safety directions and our recommendations, along with any termite paperwork the job produced. If anything on them is unclear, ask and we will explain it.

Will one treatment keep pests away for good?

No treatment removes every future risk. Long-term protection comes from the right treatment, regular checks and practical changes around the property, such as fixing leaks, clearing garden beds from the walls and sealing the gaps pests use.

Does a clean home still need pest control?

Often, yes. Cleaning removes food, but pests still come in looking for water and shelter. Entry points, moisture and termite risk have nothing to do with how clean the kitchen is.

How often should I have a termite inspection?

It depends on the property and its risk factors, such as its age, construction, garden and history. After an inspection we can recommend a schedule that suits that house rather than a one-size answer.

Will supermarket spray get rid of a nest?

It may kill the insects you can see without reaching the nest or colony they came from. The right response depends on the species and where it is living, which is why identification comes first.
